In an effort to get this forum to become a productive learning place for all RZR owners, UTV Tech would like to offer free product to anyone that would like to share with this community something they have learned about being an RZR owner.  We are offering two complimentary products and the rules are simple:

We will be drawing a winner on DECEMBER 1st.

RULE: Reply to this thread and tell us A - your favorite upgrade you have done to your RZR and B - What you wished you wouldn't have done to your RZR.

Winner will be drawn at random from the # of each post on December 1st.  The first person drawn will choose if they want our Pro-Tek Gas Tank Protector or our Max-Flo Vent Kit.  The second winner gets whatever the first person did not choose.

I am exempt from winning, but I will post first of what we liked and didn't like:

A- Favorite addition to our RZR is the Dakota Digital Dash not only looks but being able to know our oil pressure and water temp. was important.

B- Least Favorite addition to our RZR is the heavy 15" rims...a lot of rotational mass slows us down, but they do look good at trade shows with the 30" Dick Cepeks on them!!

UTV Tech this is AWESOME of you!!!

I also am exempt from winning but would like to share.

A- The EMP lift kit and Wheel spacers.. What allot of people don't know is if you add the 1 1/2 wheel spacers,in the front you can take your steering tie rod ends and put them on top of your hub. This gives you about 2-3 inches of more turning ability.. BUT, if you have A-arm guards on your going to have to cut off about 1-2" of the wheel side.. Yes my tire is low.. LOL..

B- Would be the Size EPI rim and tire I have. I really would like to have more tire and less rim. I think I would go with a 12 inch rim next time.. The RZR-S have a 12" rims and allot of tire..

Wow, that is an awesome offer Dave.

Those are some nice looking products that you have.  The Pro-Tek Gas Tank Protector looks like it is a must have item.

That is very generous of you Dave.

I would like to play  Grin

I have 2 mods that I couldn't live without up here in Michigan.
1st is a Racertech 2" lift. That mod alone made this a truly trail worthy SxS, and the 2nd is the Polaris soft cab. My wife and I get to enjoy riding in the winter much more than we did riding quads. I also don't mind getting out to plow snow anymore, lol.

The mod I didn't like was installing a airbox vent between the seats. It amplified so much clutch and motor noise, that I literally thought my rig was falling apart. I never realized how much, until I broke the L&R holes, and had to replace the bed. It's nice and quiet again, and I will leave it that way.
I do agree with RzrRider too. I have the same wheel/tire combo and when I do it again I will go with 12" wheels/tires.

Thnx,
 Brian

Why do you guys prefer the 12" wheels over the 14"?

I have been running with 12" wheels for years, and once I switched to 14" I loved the switch.

Wow what a great and generous offer!
A - It would have to be the UMP air intake, gives you much needed peace of mind while riding in the dusty conditions!
B - Would have to be the Vision wheels I bought. They look good, but apparently have a very narrow bead area on them because I am constantly getting sand in the bead and getting flats! That is at 5 to 6 psi. I ride with other guys with the same amount of air that don't have an issue with it.
Here is a pic of my ride....

I think its just that you have more tire that can help with shock absorption

Yeah, I'll give it that.  I just like the fact that their is less roll when running radials with the 14" wheels.

A.   I love the UHMW skid. I now slide over everything that is too tall to straddle. The RZR comes with a pice of junk for a skid.
B.   The $250.00 I spent on the Polaris " Rock Slider Nerf Bars" was a waste .of money. They would "GRAB" roots and rocks bringing me to a sudden stop.

I can't really say anything about what I've have done because I got the rzr this way.
A) I did add highlifter springs to lift it higher and a set of pro armor arm guards on front and back to protected the cv boots
B) I think the only thing I would have done different is not put 29.5x12x12 on the front they are a little big.

A:Best up grade would have to be my Winch, and  a close 2nd  would be the skids, and 3rd the 3" lift and 4th wheel spacers and axles, radio, gauges, etc -    ok getting carried away a little bit but everything I ve upgraded works in harmony so I dont think I can say I have a favorite. But I dont have a bit of
problem telling you what I wished I didn't do!

B: I wished I hadn't went with 14" wheel size.
