Hey all,

My first post here on rzr riders. We meet again ONROPE (ex Grizzly owners). Thank you utvtech for this generous offer.

It's very hard to pick my favourite mod to my RZR, since there are so many!!! So, if I had to pick one, I will say it's the Dragonfire Racing Snorkeled Intake Kit. I can now ride in any condition with the "piece of mind" that my engine will not be sucking dust....and, it looks very trick! Close behind is the full Holz Racing UHMW/Aluminum Skid Plate package with the Richochet Anodized Black A-Arm Skids...another "piece of mind" mod knowing my complete underside is heavily protected.

I've put a lot of thought into everything I've purchased for my RZR, so I don't have any regrets for any of my mods....but, the most disappointing mod(s) is the Pure Polaris front and rear pre-runner bumpers for two reasons: 1. the rear bumper is the old design for '08's and therefore, the '09 exhaust dumps right onto the horizontal cross-member. This interruption in exhaust flow makes the sound of the exhaust horrible. 2. The front bumper mounting design places the radiator directly into the "transfer of energy" from the front bumper in the event of frontal bump and/or collision, hence the likelihood of having to replace the rad for a minor incident is quite high. BUT, to get around this and put a positive spin on this mod, I purchased Thunderhawk's front bumper/radiator support which will transfer the frontal impact energy around the radiator...at least I hope it does!

Here's a pic of the front bumper support bracket from Thunderhawk Performance:

...and here's a pic of the Dragonfire Racing Intake Kit:

A I would have say the best mod on my rzr was the 1.5 wheel spacers that change the lug pattern to a 4/110 With owning multiple atvs still I have alot of wheels and tire I can switch to.
B would be the 1 inch  rubber side down spring spacer wow what a ruff ride.   I can .say it ride alot better with out em now.

I'm new to the forum. I have an 09 RZR LE Sunset Red. The best mod I have done is putting the 14 inch Polaris rims with Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 Radials. I have just got my 3 inch RokTek lift in the mail, but wont have it installed until Monday as i am working nights this weekend. I have a hard roof and pre-runner bumpers on it. Sorry but so far no mods that I dont like.

Hey everyone, we are only a week away from the drawing and the odds of winning are slightly better than the PowerBall!!  Next Tuesday around lunch time I will post who has one and we will try to get in contact with them immediately so the products arrive well before Christmas.  For those of you who haven't seen our SEMA build that took the MSN Autos Top 10 award, here is a link to our webpage and from there the bottom link is to the MSN story.  http://www.utvtech.com/rzr-Widowmaker.asp

Good luck to everyone and thank you for the great input for all of us who read the forums, hopefully rzrriders.com is very successful at becoming another great resource for information.

Yep, I'm the cows tail, and too late, but I think this is a good idea. Lets people know what does, and does not work, so I will add just for the fun of it.

A. My best mod is my DIY snorkel system. I run a Uni filter in the stock canister. I brought the snorkels up; engine intake, CVT exhaust, then CVT intake. I did this because I run Uni filters on the top of the snorkels, with Outerware prefilters. Setting them up like this gives a more balanced look. I also ran the snorkels up, and then behind the cross bar so I could still use my Pure Polaris Shoulder Bag. The best upgrade that I had to purchase was Highlifter Lift Springs for all corners of the ride. The stock springs are junk, and fade very early.

B. The upgrade that I like the least is my clutch kit. I will not name the brand. It is a respected brand, and there is nothing wrong with it. I just believe that I should have done more of my own homework before purchasing the kit. I am not sure that I needed all the Extras that came with the kit. Since I have purchased my kit, there have been many changes made, and more products available, with better features.

Keep up the good work. Enjoying the forum.

This was a fun way for UTV Tech to get to know another RZR forum and we truly hope for success to the developers of another great information point for all the consumers and manufacturers that are looking for knowledge.

Thank you to everyone that participated as this was quite fun for us to see different ideas of who likes what.

Congratulations to the first name drawn.......BILINVIC!!  You have first choice to either protect your fuel tank or add more air flow and secure your hood better with our vent kit.

Congratulations to the second name drawn......MOTOXXX!!  You get the leftover after Bilinvic chooses what he wants.

Thanks again to everyone that entered and remember if we have a product you desire to own please call as we offer forum discounts and we have some products that are not listed on our website.

When you get a chance check out our SEMA press release that MSN had done on us at: http://editorial.autos.msn.com/slideshow.aspx?cp-documentid=1105705#3 and on our website:http://www.utvtech.com/rzr-Widowmaker.asp

That's great news Dave...I will pick the gas tank protector. This part will be perfect for our Rocky Mountain terrain where I ride....lots of rock!

If you have any stickers, please send them along and I will be happy to advertise UTV Tech on my RZR.

Thank you very much for sponsoring this contest and congrats with the Widow Maker @ SEMA.

A big Thanks to Dave at UTV TECH for putting this on. Dave really came through on this! There was an honest mix up, and my prize (hood vent kit) never got shipped. After a while I began to wonder what was up, so I emailed him and for having to wait for much longer than anticipated he threw in a Pro Tek fuel tank protector also. Both products are top notch in quality, and both were very easy installs. Thanks again Dave, and here are some install pics......

Marking the holes and the cut out area. Cut with an air powered hacksaw.

Hood Vent installed.

Front Plastic removed for grille vent install.

Grille vent installed.

Both vents installed.

I used my own Stainless sockethead fasteners.

Removed four bolts from skid plate to access the nuts for the fuel tank protector

fuel tank protector installed, only took a few minutes and it looks great, and will work great too!
