I received my free UTV Tech Gas Tank Protector from the UTV Tech giveaway thread on RZR Riders. Upon first inspection, the "armor" looks to be a very high quality and well thought out. Only two bolts with nyloc nuts and a self-tapping screw is required to install.

I did have to remove my Holz Racing rocker panel skid in order to get the gas tank armor bolted up. The newer versions of the Holz Racing right side skid extends further rearward to better protect the underside of the gas tank, but the gas tank is still exposed from the wheel well. It could easily sustain damage if the right rear tire was kicking up debris, or a stick got caught up in there. With the UTV Tech gas tank armor, the end of the gas tank is completed covered by an aluminum shield so nothing can come close to rupturing the gas tank.

The two bolts holes in the RZR frame support are already existing, so no drilling is required, just line up the armor, insert the two bolts and tighten them up with the nyloc nuts. Once the two bolts are tightened up, all that is required is to drive the self-tapping screw into the frame member in the wheel well. It's just too easy!!!

Thank you very much UTV Tech for sending me this valuable protection for my RZR...more piece of mind for trouble free riding.

On to the pics:

In combination of the Holz skid, my gas tank is now very protected:
