I am very disappointed with Polaris. My original seat belts quit working after about a week due to mud. I also layed my RZR on its side, at a very slow speed, and tweaked the cage. I have a 08 RZR, and to this date, Polaris has made no changes to these items. It would seem they would learn from Yamaha, and their situation with law suites, and make some major changes. I would like to know what others think about this, and if there is anything we can do to get Polaris to improve in these areas.

My buddy flipped his new RZR S over frontwards and the seat belts did not lock up. He broke his nose and his passenger hit his head on the roll cage and needed stitches. They need to do something.

If you are going to ride these in any extreme manner, don't take a chance spend $150-$200 and equip it with 4 or 5 point restraints.

Agreed, but the point is....Polaris should be doing a better job to protect their customer, as well as themself. Safety is one reason why the top bars come in to the middle the way they do...For idiots who try to stop a rollover by putting a leg, or arm out; like they can stop the fall. The shape of the bar is to prevent broken bones...or worse. However, if the cage is not strong enough, and the belts won't keep you in, what is the point?

True to point.  However, I think all the manufactured are guilty.  Let's face it, they are only going to equip a machine with what they (the lawyers) feel they can get away with at the most economical level.

The dealer told my buddy that they are having problems with the seat belts. But they are not recalling them. Just fixing them on an individual basses. NICE!! So once you roll you will find out if they work or not.. One law suit about seat belts, and putting 5 point harnesses on every RZR would have been a drop in the bucket for them! Look at Yamaha with the doors. Prime example..

Yep!  The very first day I had my RZR out the belts were jammed with grit and mud.  I knew immediately that they would be an issue.
